Laura Turnage McNair
Laura has over twenty-five years’ experience as a trainer, presenter, speaker, facilitator, and personal coach. She began her career in secondary education, then moved to college administration at Salem College where she was the Associate Director of Admissions. She founded her own training and consulting business in 1986.
Laura’s particular interests include the “people” side of business, and the importance of clear and direct communication on achieving good business outcomes. She is especially adept at meeting facilitation, and has helped a broad range of clients get optimal results from their planning meetings and board retreats.
Laura’s keen insight into interpersonal communications makes her especially skilled at supervisory and managerial training, as well as for teaching effective performance management. With her breadth of knowledge, dynamic style and professional presentation, Laura is a widely sought-after teacher, speaker, trainer and personal coach. She is regularly rated “outstanding” by those who participate in her programs, as well as those who work with her individually.
Laura has an MA from Wake Forest University and a BA from Salem College. She is a dedicated community volunteer. An avid horsewoman, Laura competes in Olympic-style riding events.
