Her communication experience is tremendously varied and has deep roots. Barbara has taught in public and private schools in North Carolina, and has spoken to dozens of clubs, organizations and business groups on a wide variety of subjects. Her warm, energetic, dynamic style keeps her in demand as a speaker and as emcee at many public events. Also, as spokesperson for Winn-Dixie, she has represented that company in numerous live appearances, as well as hosting the television programs W-D sponsors: Cooking with Barbara McKay, seen weekdays, and Close to Home, a series of primetime half-hour specials.
