Manager's Listening Session

How do you find out what makes your employees tick? Every few weeks, carve out a few minutes during your regular one-on-one meetings to ask your employee to talk about goals, concerns, needs, and interests. Think of these conversations as relationship maintenance, a way for you to open communication between you, and a way for you to learn how to manage more effectively.

Plan to listen at least 75% of the time during this conversation.
